I grew up in a small town in Upper Frankonia, Germany.

After my diploma studies in Textile Design I lived and worked in Austria for several years. As a textile designer,

I created collections for jacquard fabrics, especially for upholstery and decoration at a medium-sized, fully integrated textile company. I was also involved in creating and implementing marketing strategies and trend forecasts to ensure the success of the company.

 

Since 2010, I have been working as a lecturer in the Textile Design course at Hof University of Applied Sciences

on the campus in Münchberg.

As an expert in working with the Adobe Creative Suite and advanced weaving technology, I am training future textile designers in digital image processing and jacquard weaving.

​

Since the digital imaging process is instrumental for the realization of the Jacquard weaving technique, I am mentoring the students through the learning process from the creation of a design to the application of textile design specific CAD programs, the planning of the material and the properties of the future textiles to the weaving machine.
